# We Lift Concrete Instead of Tearing It Out

CT Pro Concrete Leveling works out of 300 Berlin Turnpike, covering Hartford County and the immediate Hartford metro. We're new, we say so, and we'd rather tell you when replacement is the better buy than sell you a lift that shouldn't happen.

Why We Exist

## Most Homeowners Assume the Only Fix Is Demolition

Driveways, garage floors, patios, walkways and front steps settle across the Hartford area because of what Connecticut winters do to the ground. The state's frost line sits at 42 inches and footings have to reach below it. Flatwork doesn't. It sits well above that depth and takes the full freeze-thaw cycle every year. Add uncompacted backfill and water washing fines out from underneath, and a cavity forms. The slab has nothing left to sit on, so it drops.

The reflex reaction is a tear-out quote. Demolition, disposal, forms, a new pour and a week without the driveway. It's expensive, it's disruptive, and most of the time it isn't necessary, because the concrete is usually fine. It's the ground under it that failed.

We inject expanding polyurethane through penny-sized ports, fill the cavity, and lift the slab back to grade. The foam reaches load-bearing strength in 15 to 30 minutes, so most driveways take a car again the same day. Nothing gets demolished, nothing gets hauled away, and your landscaping stays where it is.

That's the business. It isn't complicated and we're not going to dress it up.

How We Work

## Four Things We Do Differently

None of these are difficult. They're just the things a franchise template page can't say and mean.

handshake

### We Tell You When to Replace

A lift on a slab that is spalling, crumbling or broken into fragments is wasted money. That answer goes in the written quote at no charge, and it costs us the job often enough to be worth saying.

location\_on

### Real Town-Level Knowledge

West Hartford has root heave under mature street trees. Avon has cut-and-fill differential settlement. Old Wethersfield has access that rules demolition out entirely. That is on our town pages because it is true, not because it fills space.

### You Get the Owner

Claude does every on-site inspection himself. There is no call center routing your inquiry to a regional dealer, and no salesperson who has never held an injection gun writing your quote.

### The Quote Is the Price

We measure the lift height and the void volume on site, then write down a number. It does not move once the work starts unless you ask for something different, and access charges are itemized rather than hidden.

Who You'll Meet

## Meet the Team

One name, one phone number, and the person who writes your quote is the person who does the work.

### Claude

Founder & Concrete Lifting Specialist

Claude is the founder of CT Pro Concrete Leveling and runs the crew out of Berlin, Connecticut. He specializes in polyurethane slab lifting and sub-slab void filling across Hartford County, and does every on-site inspection himself, including telling homeowners when replacement is the better buy.

Connecticut Home Improvement Contractor Registration (CT DCP) Foam Manufacturer Certified Installer General Liability Insured

## What We Don't Have Yet

We launched recently. That means no review history, no decade-long customer list and no wall of project photos. Plenty of contractor websites in this position invent all three. We're not going to.

What we do have is Connecticut Home Improvement Contractor registration with the Department of Consumer Protection, general liability insurance, foam manufacturer certification, and a named owner who turns up to every inspection. Our registration number appears on every written quote. Ask any contractor for theirs before they start work on your property.

Every job gets photographed before, during and after with the town recorded. As real galleries and real reviews accumulate, they'll go on this site and this section will get shorter. Until then, this is the honest version.

On the Job

## What the Work Looks Like

No excavator, no dumpster, no week without the driveway. A rig at the curb, hoses to the slab, and penny-sized ports that get patched before we leave.

![Injection equipment and hoses laid out beside a suburban driveway with ports drilled across the settled section](/images/misc/injection-equipment-and-coiled-hoses-laid-out-besi.webp)

Everything works from the top of the slab. Nothing gets dug up.

Measured on site, written down, and the quote is the price.

Where We Work

## Hartford County, From Berlin

Our base on the Berlin Turnpike puts Berlin, New Britain, Newington, Rocky Hill, Plainville and Wethersfield within a short run. West Hartford and Glastonbury are 12 to 14 miles out; Avon and Simsbury are 20-plus and get scheduled rather than promised same-day. We say which is which rather than agreeing to a time we'd then miss.
