What We Do
Polyurethane concrete lifting. We drill penny-sized ports through a settled slab, inject a two-part expanding foam that fills the void underneath it, and raise the concrete back to grade in monitored increments. The foam reaches load-bearing strength in 15 to 30 minutes, so most driveways take a car again the same day.
That covers driveways, garage floors, patios and pool decks, walkways, front steps and stoops, basement and interior slabs, sub-slab void filling, control joint sealing, and light commercial slab work.
What we don’t do: foundation underpinning, structural repair, seawall work, or municipal contracts. If an inspection points to a structural problem rather than a settled slab, we’ll say so and tell you what you actually need.
Why Connecticut Specifically
Because the ground here has a particular failure mode and it’s worth understanding.
Connecticut’s frost line sits at 42 inches and footings have to reach below it. Driveways, patios and walkways don’t — they sit well above that depth and take the full freeze-thaw cycle every winter. Add the uncompacted backfill that most flatwork was poured over and water washing fines out from underneath, and a cavity forms. The slab has nothing left to sit on, so it drops.
That’s why flatwork settles here more than most people expect, and it’s why surface-only fixes don’t hold. Patching a crack leaves the void exactly where it was.
Where We Cover
Hartford County and the immediate Hartford metro, working out from Berlin.
Response times vary with distance and we’d rather be straight about that than promise same-day everywhere. Berlin, New Britain, Newington, Rocky Hill, Plainville and Wethersfield are a short run and get same-day or next-day. West Hartford and Glastonbury are 12 to 14 miles out and book within the week. Avon, Simsbury, Granby, Suffield and Enfield are 20 to 30 miles and get scheduled properly.
What doesn’t change with distance is the price of finding out: the on-site inspection and the written quote are free in every town we cover. There are town-by-town pages with the local ground conditions and housing stock on each one.
What We Can Show You Today
We’re new. That means no review history, no decade of project photos and no customer count to quote at you. A lot of contractor sites in this position invent all three; we’re not going to.
Here’s what can actually be checked:
- Connecticut Home Improvement Contractor registration with the Department of Consumer Protection, which is required for residential work in this state
- General liability insurance
- Foam manufacturer certified installer
- A named owner who does every on-site inspection himself
- A free written quote, and the quote is the price
Our registration number appears on every written quote. Ask any contractor for theirs before they start work on your property — it’s a reasonable question and the answer tells you something.
The One Promise Worth Making
We’ll tell you when replacement is the better buy.
A lift on a slab that’s spalling, crumbling or broken into fragments is wasted money, and we’d rather say so at the free inspection than take the job. That’s going to cost us work, and it’s still the right way to run this. If a calculator or a salesperson tells you your slab can be lifted and the concrete itself has reached the end of its service life, the calculator is wrong.

Call, email, or send photos through the contact form. Two photos usually save a trip: one from standing height showing the whole slab and what it sits next to, and one close-up of the joint or step with a tape measure across it.
