Sunken Concrete in Canton? Here Is What It Costs You
Settlement rarely announces itself. These are the four ways homeowners usually notice, and every one of them gets worse through a freeze-thaw winter.
A Lip That Catches Toes
A stepped joint on a walkway or entry is a liability the day someone goes over it. And it grows every winter rather than settling down.
Water Running at the House
Once a slab tilts, roof and surface runoff heads for the foundation instead of away from it. A few degrees of lost pitch does that.
A Tear-Out Quote You Hate
Demolition, a week without the driveway, the landscaping wrecked, and a bill several times what a lift costs. Most of the time it is not necessary.
Doors and Thresholds Out of Line
A sunken garage or basement slab pulls thresholds, frames and doors out of alignment. The door is the symptom; the floor is the cause.

How the Lift Works, Start to Finish
Most residential jobs are done inside a day, and the slab carries load again before we pack up.
Free Inspection
We look at the slab, sound it for voids, measure the drop and tell you in writing what it needs, including when that is replacement.
Penny-Sized Ports
A planned pattern of 5/8-inch holes goes through the slab. Compare that to the 2-3 inch holes mudjacking needs.
Inject and Lift
Two-part expanding polyurethane fills the cavity first, then lifts the slab back to grade in monitored increments.
Patch and Go
Ports patched, site cleaned, foam at load-bearing strength in 15-30 minutes. Most driveways take a car before we leave.
Not Sure Whether to Lift It or Replace It?
Scheduled inspection. The on-site inspection and the written quote cost nothing, and if replacement is the better buy we will say so.

Working Around Canton: Access, Roads and Landmarks
Sloped lots and heavier frost define the work here. Runoff channels along driveway edges through Canton Center and North Canton until the base is gone underneath, and the higher ground freezes harder and for longer than the valley towns to the east.
US Route 44 and Route 179 run us in past Collinsville and the Shoppes at Farmington Valley. Long walkway runs to the door are standard on properties here, and lifting a whole run back to a consistent fall costs a fraction of replacing it.
Long walkway runs re-levelled to a single consistent fall, which on a sloped lot is what stops the next washout.

How We Get to You
US Route 44 is the spine of the town, and at 24 miles out we book a window rather than quote a same-day promise we would miss.
Main routes US Route 44, Route 179, Route 202, Route 177
Booking a Window, Not a Promise
Canton is one of our longer runs at around 24 miles, out through Avon on Route 44. Inspections are scheduled and we group Farmington Valley work together, so booking a week or so ahead gets you a better slot than calling for today.
Runoff, Slope and Deeper Frost
Canton sits higher and steeper than the towns nearer the river, and both of those work against flatwork. Frost exposure is heavier on the higher ground, and sloped lots let runoff find the underside of a driveway and carry the base downhill with it.
The older Collinsville housing stock adds a second pattern: shallow original bases under long walkways and multi-step entries, where every joint gives the freeze-thaw cycle somewhere to work.
Canton Concrete Leveling Questions, Answered
Is Canton within your service area?
Yes, at about 24 miles it's one of our longer runs, so inspections are scheduled. Booking a week or so ahead gets the best slot.
My driveway is on a slope and keeps sinking. Will lifting last?
It lasts when the void is filled and the water feeding it is dealt with. We'll tell you what to correct - downspout discharge, splash extensions, a regrade at the slab edge - alongside the lift.
Does the heavier frost up here make things worse?
It does. Water in the base freezes, expands and levers the cavity wider, then the thaw lets the slab drop further into it. Higher ground in Canton cycles harder than the river towns.
Still have a question?
The on-site inspection answers it properly. We look at your actual slab and put the answer in writing, and it's free either way.
